Scan & Pay with MAE App X MRDIY.COM.MY RM3 Cashback Promotional Campaign Terms & Conditions

Scan & Pay with the MAE App X MR.DIY, MR.TOY, MR.DOLLAR RM3 Cashback Promotional Campaign (“Campaign”) is organized by Malayan Banking Berhad (196001000142) (“Maybank”) and shall be subjected to the Terms and Conditions herein. By participating in this Campaign, Eligible Customers (as defined in Clause 2 below) hereby expressly agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and any decisions made by Maybank in respect of the Campaign shall be final, conclusive and binding.

1.0 Campaign Period

This Campaign will commence on 18 November 2022 at 12.00:00 AM and will end at 31 December 2022 at 11:59:59 PM, both dates inclusive, or until the total Cashback limit (as stipulated in Clause 3.0 (a) (2) below) is exhausted, whichever is the earlier (“Campaign Period”), for the transactions listed in the table in Clause 2(b) below unless notified otherwise.

2.0 Eligibility

  1. This Campaign is open to all individuals who have a Maybank Anytime Everywhere (“MAE”) registered account and are registered to utilize Scan & Pay (Scan & Pay), which is an electronic payment platform utilizing Quick Response (QR) codes included as a functionality of the MAE by Maybank2u app (also known as the MAE app). (All individual customers who have fulfilled the above criteria will hereinafter be referred to as the “Eligible Customers”).
  2. The eligibility of users for Scan & Pay is subject to the specific Terms and Conditions of the product. The usage of Scan & Pay is a primary prerequisite for the eligibility in this Campaign.
  3. This Campaign is open to individuals who have attained the age of eighteen (18) years and above with valid identification document(s). For individuals below the age of eighteen (18) years (“Minor”), they must obtain consent from their parents and/or legal guardian in order to participate in this The use of MAE is an acknowledgement to Maybank that the Minor has obtained the prior consent of his or her parents and/or legal guardian to participate in this Campaign. These Terms and Conditions will be applicable to and binding upon the parents and/or legal guardian of the Minor as to the same effect as if the parents and/or legal guardian of the Minor was a direct party and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

 

3.0 Campaign Mechanics and Conditions

  1. During the Campaign Period, Maybank shall offer to all Eligible Customers RM3 cashback per transaction (“Cashback”) [one (x1) cashback per customer per month for a total of two (x2) cashback chances throughout the Campaign Period] with a minimum spend of RM50.00 (subject to availability as stipulated Clause 3.0 (a) (2)) for purchases at participating outlets of MR.DIY, MR.TOY, MR.DOLLAR nationwide or MR.DIY Online via www.mrdiy.com.my (collectively referred to as “ Participating Merchants as listed in Appendix 1”).

     One (x1) cashback per customer per month for a total of two (x2)   cashback chances throughout Campaign Period (e.g. 2x cashback   per user from 1 November 2022 to 31 December 2022), subject to   availability as stipulated in Clause 3.0 (a) (2).

     Payment Method

     Scan & Pay via the MAE by Maybank2u only


  2. Based on the type of Eligible Transactions performed, as defined in the table below, the Eligible Customers will receive the Cashback as set out in Clause 3.0.

    Eligible Transaction

    Eligible monetary transactions with a minimum qualifying purchase amount of RM50.00 per transaction at Participating Merchants as listed in Appendix 1:

    i. Perform a Scan & Pay transaction from Maybank current account, savings account or MAE account via the MAE by Maybank2u app (“Payment Method”)

    • Eligible Customers may change their source of funds for Scan & Pay from the Maybank2u MY App by selecting the side menu: Me> QRPay> Default Account > Select Savings/Current Account.
    • Eligible Customers may change their source of funds for Scan & Pay from MAE by Maybank2u by selecting the ‘Change’ button upon payment.

    ii. Only Scan & Pay transactions performed via the MAE by Maybank2u Version 0.6.4 and above, shall be eligible for this Campaign.

    Eligible Cashback upon Eligible Transaction

    a

    Total purchase value of RM50.00, funded from a Maybank savings account or MAE account via the MAE by Maybank2u app.

    Cashback of value RM3 will be credited automatically into the selected source of funds for Scan & Pay from the Eligible Customer’s MAE by Maybank2u app.

    b

    Total purchase value of RM15.00, funded from a Maybank savings account or MAE account via the MAE by Maybank2u app .

    No Cashback will be given as the transaction does not meet the minimum qualifying purchase amount as stipulated in Clause 3.0 ( a ) (3).

    c

    Total purchase value of RM50.00, funded from a Maybank debit / credit card

    No cashback will be given as source of funds selected is Maybank debit / credit card as per Clause 3(e ).

    d

    Total purchase value of RM50.00, funded from a Maybank savings account or MAE account via the MAE by Maybank2u app. However, customer has already received (1x)  cashback within the month / (2x) cashback within the Campaign Period.

    No Cashback will be given as customer has reached maximum cashback chances as stipulated in Clause 3.0 (a ) (4).

    e

    Total purchase value of RM50.00, funded from a Maybank savings account or MAE  account via the Maybank2u MY app.

    No Cashback will be given as customer did not use the MAE by Maybank2u app as stipulated in Clause 3.0 (a) (5).

    f

    Total purchase value of RM50.00, funded from a Maybank savings account or MAE account via the MAE by Maybank2u app. However, cashback reached capping limit as stipulated in Clause 3.0 (a) (2).

    No Cashback will be given as campaign had reached capping limit, as stipulated in Clause 3.0 (a) (2).


  3. The Campaign is only accessible via the MAE by Maybank2u app (“Campaign Platform”).
  4. The Scan & Pay transaction can be made from the MAE by Maybank2u via the “SHOW QR CODE” function.
  5. For the avoidance of doubt, the opportunity to obtain the Cashback will only be valid during the Campaign Period and only for Scan & Pay transactions that are exclusively funded by Maybank current account, savings account or MAE account, transacted via MAE by Maybank2u (version 0.6.4 and above), and is not valid in conjunction with any other promotions, discounts or vouchers.
  6. Maybank may change the terms and conditions of the Cashback Period and qualification for Cashback with twenty one (21) calendar days’ prior notice.
  7. The Eligible Customer will immediately be directed to the Cashback screen upon completion of the Eligible Transaction irrespective of whether the Eligible Transaction is performed before or after the Eligible Customer’s login into MAE by Maybank2u app.

 

4.0 Cashback

  1. The value of the cashback to be won RM3.00 indicated by the animation upon completion of the Eligible Transaction confirms that Eligible Customers have won the RM3.00 cashback per qualifying transaction as mentioned in Clauses 3(b) and 3(f), OR RM0.00 upon complete utilization of Cashbacks as mentioned in Clause 2(c), or subject to availability as mentioned in Clauses 3(f) and 3(b) (4).
  2. The cashback will be credited into the Eligible Customer’s default Scan & Pay current account, savings account or MAE account within seven (7) working days from each Eligible Transaction.
  3. Maybank reserves the right to vary the amount of cashback to be awarded with 21 calendar days’ prior notice.

 

5.0 Selection of Eligible Customers for Cashback

  1. Participation in the Campaign shall be construed as consent on the part of the Eligible Customers to all mechanics and other programs involved in this Campaign and an explicit acceptance of any and all Campaign results it may produce.
  2. Eligible Customers will be notified of the cashback won through the Campaign Platform and it shall be the responsibility of the Eligible Customer to check the notification.
  3. Maybank may request for any documentation or written proof of identification, age, and place of residence of winners for verification purposes to ensure compliance with the Terms & Conditions stipulated herein.
  4. Maybank reserves the right to forfeit and withdraw the cashback won in the event that the Eligible Customer does not comply with the Terms & Conditions stipulated herein.

 

6.0 General Terms & Conditions

  1. Maybank shall not be responsible or held liable in respect of technical failures of any kind whatsoever, intervention, interruptions, and/or electronic or human errors in the administration and/or processing of the transaction performed via the MAE app, M2U app, Maybank2u Biz, Maybank2u, or Maybank2e provided the same is not caused by Maybank.
  2. Maybank reserves the right to withdraw, cancel, suspend, extend or terminate this Campaign earlier in whole or in part and reserves the right to modify any of the terms and conditions contained herein, from time to time by giving at least minimum of twenty one (21) days (“day” shall have the same meaning as calendar day) prior notice thereof, the notice of which shall be posted through Maybank2u website at maybank2u.com.my or through any other channel determined appropriate by Maybank. It shall be the responsibility of the Eligible Customers to be informed of or otherwise seek out any such notice validly posted.
  3. By participating in this Campaign, Eligible Customers agree to access the Maybank2u website at maybank2u.com.my on a regular basis to view the terms and conditions herein and seek clarification from Maybank should any of the Terms & Conditions be not fully understood
  4. By participating in this Campaign, Eligible Customers agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions herein and agree and consent to allow his/her personal data being collected, processed and used by Maybank in accordance with the Maybank Privacy Statement, which may be viewed on maybank2u.com.my (“Maybank’s Privacy Statement”) and the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) Form for Individual Customers.

    In addition and without prejudice to the terms in the Maybank’s Privacy Statement and the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) Form for Individual Customers, Eligible Customers agree and consent to his/her personal data or information being collected, processed and used by Maybank for:
    i  - the purposes of the Campaign; and
    ii - marketing and promotional activities conducted by Maybank, including but not limited to any form of advertising or publicity media and materials such as audio and/or visual recordings published through newspapers, television networks, radio stations or online and digital media and on the Internet. Marketing and promotion activities include without limitation the use and/or publication of any details provided in and/or in connection to the entries, interviews material as well responses and related photographs. In this regard, Eligible Customers agree to co-operate and participate in all advertising and publicity activities of Maybank in relation to this
  5. Maybank and its officers, servants, employees, representatives and/or agents (including without limitation, any third party service providers engaged by Maybank for the purposes of this Campaign) shall not be liable to Eligible Customers in this Campaign for any direct, indirect, special or consequential loss or damage (including but not limited to, loss of income, profits or goodwill) arising from or in connection with this Campaign unless caused by the any gross negligence or omission by Maybank.
  6. Maybank shall not be liable for any default of its obligation under this Campaign due to any force majeure events which include but not limited to acts of God, civil commotion, acts of war, strike, riot, lockout, industrial action, fire, flood, drought, storm, epidemic and pandemic or any events and circumstances of whatever nature beyond the reasonable control of Maybank.
  7. Maybank may disqualify/reject any Eligible Customer who does not comply with the terms and conditions stated herein and/or are found or suspected to be tampering with the Campaign and/or its process or the operations of this Campaign which includes fraudulent activities involving any act of deceit and/or deception and/or cheating with regards to the Campaign.
  8. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the Laws of Malaysia and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Malaysia.
